Whether it’s jewellery you wear every day or family heirlooms sitting in your jewellery box, it’s all going to need a good clean at some point. You can buy ready-made jewellery cleaning products but they are full of harsh chemicals and often make your jewellery tarnish more quickly – so you need to use it more and buy more product. I also love my homemade cleaner because you can use it on pearls, gold, silver and any gem stones without worrying about ruining any aspect of your jewellery. Here’s what you’ll need for my non toxic jewellery cleaner: 1 tablespoon salt 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda 1 teaspoon washing up liquid 250ml hot water Tinfoil Paper towel Small bowl or teacup The salt, bicarbonate soda, and tinfoil create a chemical exchange called an ion transfer, which naturally cleans metals. Directions: Gather the jewellery that needs cleaning, you can put…

This summer has been a little crazy, we didn’t do any travelling for the first 5 months of the year knowing that the wedding season this year was going to be full! I had never been to Corsica and didn’t know much about it but it was a beautiful destination and incredible place for a wedding. I spent what seemed like eternity looking for the right dress – the dress code was Summer Cocktail – and I always feel better over dressed than under so decided that a colourful maxi dress would be perfect. I found a few gems but they were sold out in my size so I eventually settled on this orange maxi dress from Asos, such a steal! When I put on the dress it felt fun and elegant but I wanted something a little extra so instead of tying it at the back I wrapped it round…

This was my first time in Paris. I don’t know how I got to 30 and had never been! I’ve been in France 6 times over the past 2 years but I’m a lady always chasing the sun so the south of France is usually where I end up. As this was a special trip I planned everything I wanted to see but left time to wander and explore. You could spend the whole summer in Paris and still find new things but you can definitely see all the highlights in a 3 day trip. Day 1 We arrived fairly early to Paris on the Eurostar and headed straight to our Airbnb. It was the perfect Parisian apartment. It’s owned by a musician and artist and along with a classic french terrace and a massive bathtub it was decorated with lots of modern art and retro furnishings. We loved having…

“Things of quality have no fear of time” Good quality jewellery is always worth the extra money. The details of your outfit make all the difference, it elevates your look.  It doesn’t matter if you are wearing a plain t-shirt or designer dress, adding some pearl earrings will always make it better. You can spend less money and buy costume jewellery but it will always work out better for cost per wear to buy the real thing. Always buy real pearls, silver or gold if you can. I don’t suggest spending all your money on a trendy solid gold lobster pendant because it’s on the cover of Vogue, buy jewellery that will last forever and look good for seasons on end. Take your time, check out multiple brands and then buy something you love and that will go with everything. Diamonds may be a girls best friend but pearls make…

The simple and sexy martini is one of the few cocktails I enjoy. The Dirty Martini is perfect if you are looking for a cocktail that isn't too sweet. There are lots of different martinis, they call anything in a martini glass a 'Martini' these days but I like mine bold and classic, just how
We all know how time can pass by so quickly, so how do we make the most of each moment? I try to pay attention to each detail, when you look back at something it can feel like a blur so I try and take notice of the small things that make that moment special.

Artists of all kinds are always searching for inspiration. I have found that the more you search the harder it is to find. As a child I just drew things or I made things, I didn’t think about it. Before I knew what inspiration was I drew women all the time, they were usually pregnant or curvy and after many years and one art degree later my subjects haven’t changed much. Painting, creating or making has always been a messy process for me. I can spend hours making a drawing look like a photograph but I prefer to paint what I feel and let the paint and brush strokes be more expressive and organic. Painters have been recreating the female form for thousands of years and I am just one more painter creating how I feel on canvas. Art prints available here.

They saying goes “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and I don’t disagree but beautiful isn’t just what you see it’s a feeling. Feeling beautiful, confident or sexy is more important because without it nothing else matters. What makes you feel sexy? Is it the same thing that makes you feel pretty or beautiful? What makes you feel confident? I think it’s different for each woman but often we talk about feeling confident, sexy or pretty and relate it to clothes or designer makeup. I feel great when I put on a new outfit or love what I’m wearing but it doesn’t mean I need one to feel the other. How to feel confident and sexy Feeling healthy Everyone has different ways of looking after their health but I can tell you that it doesn’t matter what I do or wear if I feel bloated, run down or exhausted…

We tend to label people “creatives” and “non-creatives” but everyone has the capability in one way or another, we just need to learn to listen to our inner voice and not be discouraged by others. You don’t have to be a successful artist, the best singer, or novelist to be creative. Most of us get told we’re not good at something so we don’t do it anymore, but if you’re curious or interested in something you should see where it leads you. Try a dance class, pottery class, join an amateur choir, throw some paint around or sit in the park and draw what you see. We’ve all become obsessed (myself included) with the hustle and being busy, doing something just because you enjoy it is what life is really about. How do you increase your creativity? Watch the world around you.  Try to spend time away from screens and watch…
