Inspired by stellar parallax, a tool for calculating the distance of far away stars, this piece blends and astronomy and astrology. Gold leaf covers the painting and frame to make one fluid piece. The gold leaf reflects the light and creates a mesmerising glow in low lighting and shines brightly under direct light. In stark contrast, the symbolic painting is in matt black acrylic paint.
